The process is carried out by an accredited building commissioning provider who helps identify potential energy conservation measures and works with the participant to implement the improvements. Ottawa DER Large Solar PV Funding Incentive
The Ottawa DER Large Solar PV Funding Incentive, part of the Save on Energy Retrofit program, provides businesses in Ottawa with incentives for installing large solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. With an incentive of $860 per kW AC, eligible installations must have a minimum generation capacity of 50 kW, with maximum incentive capped at 1,000 kW. Ottawa Retrofit Accelerator
Hydro Ottawa has been selected by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to deliver the Ottawa Retrofit Accelerator, a $10 million program running until 2027. The program is designed is to help local building owners and managers implement deep retrofits and significantly reduce building emissions. It offers financial incentives for carbon pathway studies (covering up to 75% of the total costs to a maximum of $50,000) and an ecosystem of support services at NO COST to help streamline the deep retrofit process, improve building efficiencies, and cut emissions.
